A new era for RAMM as thinkproject Group acquires the business

In the midst of the second week of the COVID-19 level 4 lockdown here in New Zealand, an interesting email arrived in inboxes for those in the world of RAMM.

It was an announcement that as of the 1st April 2020, thinkproject Group has purchased RAMM Software NZ and Australia.

The announcement addressed the future direction of the software, and hinted at some big things to possibly come.

The acquisition by thinkproject allows the Australasian team to continue developing the RAMM solution suite to meet existing and new client needs. The thinkproject investment will also help to expand our presence in the region by leveraging thinkproject’s suite of integrated SaaS solutions used by clients across the built environment lifecycle. These solutions are used by more than 2,500 customers globally.

The acquisition also broadens the group’s capabilities and product portfolio in the asset management, operations & maintenance markets.

Some background on thinkproject Group was also provided….

thinkproject is Europe’s leading construction and engineering SaaS provider with ~400 employees in 9 countries. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, thinkproject serves 2,000+ customers and 150,000+ users in over 50 countries. The acquisition of RAMM represents a strategic expansion into asset management, adding a new chapter to thinkproject’s 20-year history in the plan and build space, especially in common data environment (“CDE”) and CEMAR contract management.
